SIF Lecture Series Returns - November 15
2021 Funded PhD Research Projects November 15th
SIF's lecture series returns for the 2022 - 2023 school year on November 15th with a lunch and learn lecture in M209 at 12:00 pm. The lecture will feature SIF's three initially funded Ph.D. Research Projects from 2021. Rachel Brophy, Albert Alonso, and Brandon Velasquez will provide 15-minute presentations on their research and its future.
1. Atomistic studies of organo-halide materials for photovoltaics (ATOMAP) – Rachel Brophy
2. A transition towards a 100% electric Heavy-Duty Vehicle fleet in Iceland: Feasibility and impact assessment of the charging load on the transmission and distribution system - Albert Alonso
3. Adaptation of aluminum reduction cell for carbon capture and sequestration – a modeling approach - Brandon Velasquez
