Kristín Ösp Þorleifsson, is a service manager at Samskip. Her daily tasks involve managing services for the company´s numerous customers as well as being responsible for invoicing, settlements and other things. In addition, she has participated in various projects within the company. She is currently the project manager for the implementation of a new computer system designed to manage the company's logistics system.

I had always found the MPM program exciting and it was my first choice when deciding on further education. I was fascinated by learning about organization and methods of managing projects in the best and most effective way. It also suited me well to combine work and study and be able to manage the workload myself.

Her daily tasks involve managing services for Samskip's numerous customers as well as being responsible for invoicing, settlements and other things. In addition, she has participated in various projects within the company. She is currently the project manager for the implementation of a new computer system designed to manage the company's logistics system.

Kristín Ösp says that she really enjoys participating in projects in digital solutions.

I feel that I have gained more confidence and skills to deal with the tasks and challenges I face at work. The program has also brought me all kinds of tools and equipment to work better on the tasks assigned to me and has without a doubt made me a better employee. I also try to take more pride in having good and effective communication and hope that people I interact with, both at work and outside of it, feel that.

In terms of the future and desired projects, Kristín Ösp says that she really enjoys participating in projects in digital solutions where the pace is high and it is important to be on top to meet the needs of customers. 

The MPM program is an efficient two-year academic program that can be taken alongside professional responsibilities. The programme is designed to provide career-focused training relevant to current industry standards. Students learn how to define, organize, and execute complex projects successfully and receive international certification in project management from the International Project Management Association (IPMA)
