Diploma in Marine Bio Innovation
Marine Bio Innovation is a one-year diploma course focusing on business, fisheries science and innovation. Students get the opportunity to work on actual industry projects as well as develop and execute their own ideas. The course centre is in the Westman Islands, home to a thriving fisheries sector and abundance of marine based resources.

Icelandic fisheries sector: a success story
The Icelandic fisheries sector is among the most successful and sustainable in the world - a high-tech sector with emphasis on quality, fully utilizing resources and innovation. Education is a vital link in that chain of improvement.
University collaboration
The course is taught in collaboration with the University of Akureyri, which specialises in fisheries science. Students can enrol in the course in the Westman Islands, at Reykjavik University or through distance learning. The program is three semesters and graduates can use credits earned for continued studies at Reykjavik University and University of Akureyri.
