University Open Day 2020

Reykjavik University opens its doors to the public on Saturday 29 February 2020 between 12 and 4 p.m.

RU welcomes the public in the Sun and various lecture halls with programme introductions for undergraduate and graduate studies.

Talk to students and teachers

Guests at the University Open Day can get acquainted with diverse study programmes and research at RU, talk to students, teachers and counsellors about the programmes and life at RU. The Iceland Academy of the Arts (IAA) and Bifröst University will also present their study programmes in RU. This day is open to all and admission is free.

Free bus service

Free bus service will be between RU, IAA, and University of Iceland during the day, so that prospective students can visit all three universities with ease. The bus stop is in front of the RU building and is scheduled to leave RU at: 12:20, 1:20, 2:20, and 3:20.

Come to class! 

At the RU University Open Day, prospective students can attend open classes and gain insight into their chosen field.

Tour of the building

There will be guided tours of the RU university building at 1:30 and 2:30. Meeting point is in the Sun. 

Student projects and research

During the Open Day, guests can explore and even try out some interesting student projects and research on the second floor in the Sun. This includes the formula racing car, built by RU students, a simulation for seasickness research, robots, VR, and student-made computer games.
