The Mayor of Reykjavík visits RU
The Mayor of Reykjavík, Einar Þorsteinsson, visited Reykjavik University recently. Accompanying him was Björg Magnúsdóttir, assistant to the mayor. He was met by Ragnhildur Helgadóttir, president of Reykjavík University, Ólafur E. Sigurjónsson, Dean of the School of Technology, Hafrún Kristjánsdóttir, Dean of the Department of Sport Science and Jón Haukur Arnarsson, executive director.
The group visited some of the research labs within RU and looked at the facilities available to staff and students. The mayor was introduced to research within the Sleep Institute and Motion Sickness Lab, amongst other things. Afterward, the group met to discuss further the daily activities and plans for the university.
We thank the mayor for an enjoyable visit to RU.
