The largest group to graduate from Reykjavik University
RU graduated 641 students this Saturday at Harpa Concert Hall, 443 students with undergraduate degrees, 196 with graduate degrees, and two students with PhD degrees. Around 3750 students were enrolled at RU the academic year 2015-2016. The largest number of graduates was from RU School of Business.
Katrín Olga Jóhannesdóttir, chairman of the board at Ja - online information services, and chairman of the Icelandic Chamber of Commerce gave out the awards for undergraduate academic achievements. The recipients this year were: Ólafur Valur Guðjónsson, BA - law; Tómas Arnar Guðmundsson, BSc - Software Engineering, Vaka Valsdóttir, BSc - Pshychology and Ari Páll Ísberg, BSc - Biomedical Engineering.
Fida Abu Libdeh, founder and director of GeoSilica Iceland, and RU MBA class of 2015, gave the honorary graduation speech and Tómas Arnar Guðmundsson, BSc - Software Engineering, gave the honorary speech on behalf of 2016 graduates.
