Orientation for International and Exchange Students, August 15-16th

It is almost time to start University! RU will host two separate orientation programmes for new international students on August 15th and 16th. There is a separate programme for international students and exchange students. Please see below for details.

International students 

Location: Reykjavik University, Menntavegur 1, 101 Reykjavik.
Getting here: Bus number 5, the bus stop is called „NAUTHÓLL - HR“

Monday 15th of August

08:30 – 09:15 WELCOME BREAKFAST 

LOCATION: THE SUN

We will be welcoming new students in the Sun (the university main building entrance). You will receive your university access card as well as a light breakfast.

09:15 – 09:30 RECTOR ́S WELCOME 

LOCATION: THE SUN

09:30 – 12:00 SERVICES ORIENTATION 

LOCATION: V101/M101

Due to the size of this year's group, there will be two simultaneous programmes running in room V101 & M101. – Pick a room and take a seat. 

12:00 – 13:00 LUNCH 

LOCATION: MALIÐ CAFETERIA

In your welcome bag you should find two lunch tickets (one for today and one for tomorrow), keep these safe, they need to be handed in at the cafeteria, so that you can receive your lunch.

13:00 – 14:00 COURSE SELECTION ASSISTANCE

For students who need assistance with course selection, have issues with timetables, or questions about courses; coordinators from each department will be available in the Sun. The School of Law will be running a department welcome separately in M103, all Law students should attend.
