International Day
Yesterday, Thursday, September 4, the RU International Day was held in the Sun at Reykjavik University. The aim of the international day is to celebrate all the cultures that come together at RU and to promote the exchange opportunities offered by RU to our students.
This year's exchange cohort cooked special dishes from their homelands for local students to try. In total twenty countries were represented at the event. Not only were the students able to sample international dishes, but they could also learn about the universities that are a part of the RU exchange network, through the exchange students themselves. Representatives from the French, Canadian, Danish and German embassies were also present giving information about international opportunities. Representatives from ESN, AIESEC; DAAD, Fulbright, Seeds, SINE, Rannís were also in attendance to give students information about study opportunities abroad. The event was a great success and well attended by both local and international students at RU.
