A meet and greet was held for new students at Reykjavik University last week. Teachers and staff from each department gave a talk to their students and staff from the library, students counseling and international office introduced their service. New students were also offered a tour around the building. Ragnhildur Helgadóttir, president of RU, encouraged the students to enjoy their time at university while maintaining a good balance between life and work.
I encourage you to use your years at university wisely since they are precious and go by fast. At the same time, it is important to do what you enjoy, what makes you happy and fulfills the self within you. I welcome you all to RU and look forward to seeing you do well in your studies.
