Hnakkaþon fisheries challenge

The Hnakkaþon Fisheries Challenge will take place in RU from the 24th of January until the 26th. Hnakkaþon is an open competition for RU students who would like to use their creativity, skills and talent to develop a business solution for the seafood industry. The event is organised in co-operation between Reykjavik University and Fisheries Iceland with the support of Icelandair and The US Embassy in Iceland.

Students participate in teams of maximum five people. It is a precondition that the teams include members of both genders. No previous knowledge of the seafood industry is needed to participate. Registration deadline is the 22nd of January at midnight. You can register or receive more information about Hnakkaþon by emailing atvinnulif@ru.is or margretth@ru.is.

Friday January 25

No formal program. Participants will get a chance to seek advice with Joseph Karlton Gallogly, student in M.Sc. marketing. Joseph knows the US market and could offer valuable insights. Students can contact Joseph via email, joseph17@ru.is, between 12:00-22:00 on Friday.
