Future of Work and Education - Symposium

28.3.2022

  • Room: V102 and online
  • The event will take place in English

It is broadly perceived that we are living during transformative times, that will have a growing impact on the labour market, education, and society as a whole even when pandemics and national conflicts are put aside.

Change involves both opportunities and challenges. The symposium, organised by the Department of Business Administration at Reykjavík University, attempts to look ahead, into the immediate future, in an attempt to be better prepared to lead, create and adapt successfully.

Discussions will mainly focus on the future of work and education from the perspective of different social actors.

Questions addressed will include:

  • What kind of skills and knowledge will companies, organizations and the entrepreneurial environment need to hold in the coming 10 years?
  • How does higher education, and the educational system more broadly, best prepare students for the future?

Two recent reports, concerning the topic, will also be presented. The reports were created in collaboration between RU's Department of Business Admin. and Rumanian collaborators, including the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration.

The symposium is part of the project School of Knowledge Production and Transfer for Global Economy and Governance, supported by EEA Grants
