Dr. Luca Aceto made honorary member of the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science
The European Association for Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS) has recognized Dr. Luca Aceto, Chair of the Department of Computer Science, for outstanding contribution to theoretical computer science by naming him as recipient of an EATCS fellowship.
Luca Aceto receives this honour for his fundamental contributions to concurrency theory, and outstanding merits for the community of theoretical computer science, in particular as an inspiring president of EATCS. Five other members of EATCS were recognised this year.
The EATCS Fellows Program was established by the association in 2014 to recognise outstanding EATCS members for their scientific achievements in the field of Theoretical Computer Science.
Dr. Magnus M. Halldorsson, professor, received this accolade last year. So ICE-TCS and the Department of Computer Science at RU now have two EATCS Fellows.
