Dr. Pall M. Rikhardsson is the new Dean of RU School of Business
Dr. Pall M. Rikhardsson is the new Dean of RU School of Business. He will take over the position from dr. Thoranna Jonsdottir on August 15th.
Rikhardsson was appointed professor at RU School of Business earlier this year. He has been an associate professor at the School part time since 2007 and full-time since 2012, and has been director of graduate study programmes in information management, corporate finance, management accounting and auditing, and business intelligence.
Dr. Rikhardsson finished his PhD degree in 1997 from The Aarhus School of Business in Denmark, his graduate degree from the same University in 1993 and a BSc degree in Business Studies from The University of Iceland in 1991. His professional experience is extensive, both in the Icelandic and international business community. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on the subject of business intelligence, internal auditing and management accounting.
Dr. Rikhardsson has in recent years been the director of a research project focusing on the culture of management accounting in Icelandic companies and the changes in overall management of Icelandic banks since 2008. From 2007 until 2012, he was advisor to the SAS Institute, PwC, and Herbert Nathan & Co in Copenhagen from 2012 till 2015. In addition to RU, he has taught at The Aarhus School of Business and Copenhagen Business School.
