Arion bank to fund the RU Dean´s list
The Dean's list at Reykjavik University is compiled each term in order to award students for their academic achievements. The recognition is in the form a grant, i.e. a full tuition fee waiver for next semester.
The Dean's list will be funded by Arion Bank for the next three years, according to an agreement that RU President Ari Kristinn Jonsson and Benedikt Gíslason, Arion CEO, signed yesterday.
The bank will sponsor these grants for the cost of ISK 45 million in total. At the signing Ari Kristinn Jonsson said the cooperation with Arion to be further evidence of the University's aim to work with industry to ensure the best possible university education for future contributions to society, furthermore, the recognition shows how much RU appreciates the hard work of these students.
Gislason said the bank was proud to sponsor young and diligent people who will bring new energy and ideas to the Icelandic job market in the next few years.
