Allocation from the Icelandic Student Innovation Fund

Twenty-four projects carried out by researchers at Reykjavik University received funding from the Icelandic Student Innovation Fund for the summer of 2023.Hópur af fólki í HR tekið ofan frá

The fund received 472 applications for 726 university students this year, but this time the fund had around ISK 360 million to distribute. Two hundred two projects received funding, and 355 students are registered to take part in funded projects.

The projects from RU received a total of over 65 million in funding, and 64 students are participating.

The Icelandic Student Innovation Fund aims to allow universities, research institutes, and companies to hire undergraduate and master's students for summer work on research and development projects. Grants shall be made to research and development projects that will likely lead to innovation and increased connections between universities, institutions, and companies.
