Current collaborations
Below is a list of some of the large-scale collaborations that RU is currently engaged in:
CCP
A five-year collaboration on teaching and research. CCP funds an academic position at the School of Computer Science, enabling further research and teaching in game development. The collaboration also involves the Center for Analysis and Design of Intelligent Agents (CADIA) at RU and the Icelandic computer games industry.
Advania
A three-year collaboration on teaching development at RU. According to the agreement, Advania and RU will work together on increasing the number of specialists in Iceland with knowledge of both information technology and business. The collaboration also revolves around the advancement of business intelligence education.
Fisheries Iceland
Fisheries Iceland and RU have signed an agreement of co-operation to strengthen research and innovation in the Icelandic fishing industry, in the aim of increasing sustainability, maximizing the use of products and increase the number of jobs in the industry. According to the agreement, students will be able to work on innovative assignments in various companies in the fisheries sector and graduate students can work on their final research in co-operation with companies.
Íslandsbanki
Continous collaboration about support to education at RU to increase value in the economy. Íslandsbanki and RU will also emphasize educational activities in private financial management for the public.
KPMG
A collaboration agreement to advance teaching and research in the field of accounting at RU School of Business. The aim is furthermore to interest young people in this field of study and the job opportunities it offers.
Isavia
A three-year collaboration where Isavia will support RU research on air traffic, especially air navigation and airport operations. The main goal is to further knowledge in the field of air traffic in Iceland through cooperation with universities outside of Iceland and domestic stakeholders.
Verkís
A collaboration agreement that aims to strengthen the operations of RU School of Science and Engineering and to further practical methods in the teaching of engineering with leading enterprises in the field.
Icelandair
A three-year collaboration agreement to support the research of students and faculty on projects regarding tourism and air traffic. Cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation will be enhanced. Emphasis is placed on cross-sectoral approaches and practical assignments.
VSÓ Ráðgjöf
A collaboration agreement that aims to strengthen the operations of RU School of Science and Engineering and to further practical methods in the teaching of engineering with leading enterprises in the field.
Deloitte
A collaboration agreement to advance teaching and research in the field of accounting at RU School of Business. The aim is furthermore to interest young people in this field of study and the job opportunities it offers.
IFS Ráðgjöf
Collaboration with the RU School of Business to strengthen the education of finance. The aim is to advance teaching, analysis and research in finance and improve its image through the active contribution of both parties.
Syndis
A collaboration within the area of data and information security to promote education, research and development in the these fields.
