Abstract:
This study investigates electricity accessibility in the Asunafo South District, Ghana, aiming to understand the extent of connectivity, factors limiting access, and stakeholder perspectives on addressing energy poverty. Utilizing a quantitative research design grounded in positivist
philosophy, data was collected through structured questionnaires and interviews with Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) officials. A purposive sampling method ensured representation across demographics and key stakeholders. Findings reveal significant electricity connectivity, yet challenges persist, including intermittent power outages and affordability constraints. Stakeholder perspectives highlight the importance of
collaborative strategies for infrastructure development, regulatory measures, and renewable energy adoption. Recommendations include tailored interventions to overcome energy challenges and promote socio-economic progress. This study contributes insights into addressing energy poverty and enhancing energy access for sustainable development in the Asunafo South District, Ghana.
