The Iceland School of Energy (ISE) is happy to announce that applications are now open for Fall 2025. Whether you are interested in our full-time master's programs or looking to participate in our Energy Field School, now is the time to apply!

At ISE, we offer diverse opportunities for aspiring energy professionals, with programs spanning sustainable energy, electric power, and dual degrees in collaboration with leading universities. Join us in Iceland, a global leader in renewable energy, and be part of shaping the future of sustainable solutions.

The application period opened on October 1, and we kicked it off with a successful online webinar focused on geothermal energy. We had great participation from students around the world and heard from Juliet Newson, Director of ISE, alumni Ben Smith from Carbfix, and Jacob Kaminski, Program Manager at ISE, on the importance of geothermal energy and why Iceland is an exceptional place to study.

How to Apply

Completed applications, with all supporting documents, must be submitted by the specified deadlines. Early applicants can enjoy additional benefits, such as lower confirmation fees and extended decision time. Admission decisions are typically made within four weeks of submission. Application Deadlines:

  • Priority Applications (non-EU/EEA and EU/EEA): October 1 - November 30
    • Lower confirmation fee and extended response time for early applicants.
  • Regular Applications: December 1 - April 30 (specific dates vary by applicant location).
