Tíu manns sitja við fundarborð, sex karlmenn og fjórar konur.SFHR Association for Equality foretells equality for everybody, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, health, or religion. The RU Equality Committee has, among other things, the role of following and managing the review of the RU Equality Programme, participating in the consultation forum of equal opportunities officers in universities, and providing education on gender equality. The committee advises RU´s management and President on gender equality and can put important gender equality issues on the agenda.

The Equality Committee and the Association for Equality participate in preparing The Equality Days, which will take place from February 6th to 9th, 2023. Equality Days are a cooperative project organised with Icelandic universities. The 2023 theme is Power, privilege, and microaggression. Equality Days are an important opportunity for university staff and students to receive education about equality and increase their knowledge of the issue.
