Each request needs to include your full name, details of your study: study period and department, and where you need the transcript sent to.

Tuition fees

Reykjavik University charges tuition fees for studies. For more information regarding tuition fees please see our tuition fees page.

Student counselling and career centre

The Career and Guidance Counsellors provide information on available programmes at RU and individual support for students during their studies at RU. The centre is located on the 1st floor in the Sun, to the left of the reception desk and offers walk-in hours that do not require an appointment.

Application information

RU welcomes applications from all over the world. Please note that different application deadlines apply, based on whether students come from countries within EU/EEA or not. 

Course information

The RU website provides detailed information on all courses taught at the university. Courses are listed under the schools they belong to. 

If you do not find the information you are looking for, you can contact the school's administrative manager.

Programmes taught in English:

  • Graduate programmes are 90-120 ECTS and take 18 months- two years of full time study to complete. We offer over 20 graduate programmes taught fully in English in all departments except the School of Law. Read more about our Graduate programs.
  • Our Undergraduate degrees are 180 ECTS and take a minimum of three years of full-time study to complete. All undergraduate degrees are taught in Icelandic. However, there are a number of modules offered in English for exchange and free -mover students. Accommodation

Reykjavik University does not provide students with accommodation. Please peruse the local news outlets (VísirMblBland) and Facebook groups.

Access cards and printer access

Printer allowance can be purchased at the reception desk. They also provide access cards.

Photocopies from teachers for sale

Photocopies from teachers are sold at the reception area in the Sun.

Technical assistance: webmail, Myschool, Canvas etc.
