Getting there

To Reykjavik from the airport

The International airport is located at Keflavik, a 45-minute drive from the capital, Reykjavik. The Flybus service is operated all year daily from Keflavik Airport to Reykjavik in connection with all arriving flights. The bus brings passengers to the main bus station in Reykjavik (BSÍ).

To Reykjavik University campus by bus

The Reykjavik bus company, Straeto, operates a bus that serves the university. The University stop and the bus sign is marked Nauthólsvík - HR. The bus stops at the main bus terminals in downtown Reykjavik, where passengers can transfer to connecting buses.

Students can apply for a student bus card, Nemakort. A three or nine month discount card also offer significant discounts. All cards can be purchased online.

By foot or bike

There are good walking and cycling paths to the university which take you through and along the Oskjuhlid hill or coastal paths.

By car

There is free parking at the University except in zones A1- A3, which costs 120 ISK per hour from 08:00-16:00 on working days.
