For upper secondary schools
Introduction to university studies
Senior students of the upper secondary schools are invited to visit Reykjavik University for a presentation of all the undergraduate programs at the University and a tour around campus. The presentations are given by students and faculty to provide valuable insights into university life and to help new students in their choice of studies.
It is also possible to contact us and ask for customized presentations about study programs at Reykjavik University. The School of Law for example visits upper secondary schools with special presentations of the law program.
Upper secondary school students are offered personal and professional advice by specialized study counsellors at Reykjavik University to help them in their choice of studies. The RU Counselling Service offers both drop-in sessions and sessions with a counsellor outside drop-in hours upon appointment.
Another option for students is the annual University Day at the RU premises, which offers a unique opportunity for students to learn about all the possibilities that Reykjavik University has to offer.
Exciting competitions and events
All year round there are several projects and possibilities for future students to engage in the unique environment at Reykjavik University and explore the study programs on offer.
For example we arrange numerous competitions and events, such as:
- The Upper Secondary School Programming Competition
Lögrétta, the association of law students at RU, also organises a moot court court competition and offers free legal advice on tax returns. For more information please take a look at the Lögrétta homepage.
