Yesterday, RU staff, MSc and BSc students evaluated the physical fitness of Icelandic Junior Gymnastic National Team. Victorija Riskute (MSc student) lead team of other students (Auður Jóna Guðmundsdóttir, Eydis Ingadóttir, Ingibjörg Þóra Þórarinsdóttir) and they had a backup from Ingi Þór Einarsson and Hjalti Rúnar Oddsson all staff members of PAPESH The test battery the Gymnasts underwent included general and specific tests.

The health benefits of a physical active lifestyle and physical fitness from a young age are widely recognized as beneficial. This study examined the relationship between physical fitness and motor competence in children aged four- to six years old. A sample of 42 children (mean age 5.15 years, SD 0.56 year) participated in the study.
