Suggested Activities

For those that do not join the Reykjavik Erupts excursion, we suggest the following activities in Reykjavik. All are easy to reach by public transport from the university campus:

• Laugardalslaug is Reykjavik's largest public pool
• Nauthólsvík is a geothermal beach right behind the university campus
  
• The settlement exhibition
• Árbær Open Air Museum
• Whale Watching : Tours start at Reykjavik's old harbour at 14:00 and take about 3 hours
• Puffin Watching : Tours start at Reykjavik's old harbour at 15:00 and take about 1 hour
  
• Sight seeing with Tuk Tuk Tours, leaving at Harpa music hall
  
• Take a tour with Reykjavík Excursions or Gray Line
• Rent a car. Check Vegagerðin for road conditions. No insurance company covers damages and accidents on F roads.
• If you want into the highlands, try a Mountain Taxi
• Hike through Elliðaárdalur
• Queue at Bæjarins beztu pylsur
