Financial assistance

There are possibilities for highly qualified MSc students  to get paid teaching and research assistantships. Requests for teaching assistantships may be noted on the application form, please note that research assistantships depend on research funding and are coordinated by individual faculty members.


Strong students applying for masters‘ studies at Reykjavik University can apply for a scholarship consisting of a full tuition waiver or only paying for half the tuition (only applies for students within EU).

  • Alan Turing Scholarship
    Full tuition waiver for 2 years.
  • Dean's selection grant
    Students will only pay the undergraduate amount for each semester for two years.

Please note that your application for the M.Sc programme is also an application for the above mentioned scholarships.
