RU in 52nd place in the Young University Ranking

Reykjavik University (RU) is in 52nd place on the new list of Times Higher Education over the 100 best young universities in the world (Young University Ranking). The University makes a significant jump from last year when it was in 89th place. The ranking lists universities that are 50 years old or younger.

The ranking of Times Higher Education is based on 13 performance indicators for higher education, the number of citations to scientific articles written by the universities' staff, quality of teaching and research, international relations and collaboration with industry.

Young Universities Ranking - RU 52nd placeReykjavik University was established in 1998 on the foundation of the Computer University of the Commercial College of Iceland and in 2005, it merged with the Technical University of Iceland. Approximately 3,600 students pursue studies at the University and it has 250 employees, as well as a number of part-time lecturers.
