The association of graduated MBAs (Alumni) is called RUMBA and stands for Reykjavik University MBA.

From the moment you join the MBA programme at RU you become part of a powerful alumni network (RUMBA) and join a diverse community of high achievers connected by their shared experience.

Mynd frá golfmóti RUMBAIn addition to networking, the benefits of being an RU alumni reach beyond the duration of the programme and entail both continued education and various social activities:

  • Alumni are allowed to re-join the RUMBA for new electives to enhance their expertise in certain fields.
  • Alumni are frequently invited for case-lunches or dinners, where the RUMBA faculty conduct discussions on new and exciting cases
  • The RUMBA network organises a yearly conference and gala dinner each spring, in addition to various social activities such as golf tournaments, ocean swimming, the annual MBA hike, and more.

The RU MBA has one of the highest percentages of women of all MBA programmes worldwide. All our female students are invited to join EMBLUR when they enter the programme. EMBLUR´S objective is to empower women and strengthen their networking and business relations. The association hosts various functions, meetings and seminars.
