Grants for Exceptional First-Year Students

Reykjavik University awards exceptional first-year students with a grant in their first semester at the school. The grant covers tuition fees for students' first semester, as well as an amount for living expenses. All first-year students who apply for admission to RU and have an average grade of more than 8.0 on their matriculation examination can apply for the grant. The grant is sponsored by Landsbanki bank.

RU Dean's List
Students who achieve the best results in each examination period have a chance to be on the Dean's List (sponsored by Straumur Investment Bank) and have their tuition fees for the next semester waived.

The Entrepreneur Fund of Guðfinna S. Bjarnadóttir

The Entrepreneur Fund of Dr. Guðfinna Bjarnadóttir, former RU Rector, was established on 3 May, 2007. Behind the establishment of the fund are Bakkavör Group, The Iceland Chamber of Commerce, and RU. The fund rewards those RU students who each year submit the best business plan in connection with projects worked on within the school.

Grants for Master's Students at the School of Science and Engineering

Master's students at the School of Science and Engineering can apply for a teaching assistant grant, and a grant which gives them a salary during the period while they work full-time on their Master's assignment.

Grants for Students at the School of Science and Engineering and the School of Computer Science
Students at the School of Science and Engineering and the School of Computer Science can apply for a grant from the Study Fund of United Contractors (Icelandic: Sameinaðir Verktakar) at RU.
