University studies require that students practice work methods that are often different from those they have grown accustomed to at lower levels of the educational system. More emphasis is placed on self-study and independent methods of working, and the work contribution of students is also expected to increase. Student Counceling seeks to assist students via both interviews and seminars to adopt the work methods which university-level studies require.

Study Technique Seminars

Study technique seminars are held at the beginning of each school year. Various aspects of studying are covered, for example, time management, goal setting, reading techniques, note taking, and exam taking.

Study Circles

A study circle is a group consisting of a few students who wish to improve in their studies. A student councelor oversees the group in sessions where important factors concerning students' studies are covered, for example, their work methods and organisation. Experienced students also share their experience and point out what students should pay most attention to in courses.

Seminars on Controlling Exam Anxiety

Seminars on controlling exam anxiety are held regularly. In them, students receive instruction in how to recognise the symptoms of exam anxiety, and in how to react to those mental and physical symptoms in order to lessen the impact of anxiety on their study performance.
