About

Master of Information Management (MIM) is a collaboration between the School of Computer Science and the School of Business and is for those who have completed a bachelor's degree in computer science or business administration.

The goal of MIM is to build knowledge and skills in the design, development and implementation of information systems with respect to systemic and business academic objectives.

The content of the program is, among other things, management, systems analysis and design, process management, database systems, cost analysis and corporate finance.

The course is well suited for those who want to work as corporate information managers, consultants in the field or project managers in the implementation of information systems.

Students who graduate with a MIM degree will receive a certification at the master level.

Admission

  • BSc degree in Business Administration or
  • BSc degree in Computer Science

Reykjavik University accepts scanned documents initially, for admission assessment, which can be uploaded to the application form, but original copies must be submitted to receive an unconditional offer. You should submit a detailed record of your higher education up to the present, including programmes of study taken and grades achieved. If you have not yet completed your undergraduate degree, you should provide an official interim transcript detailing grades achieved to date. 

  • Personal Statement (why do you want to participate in the program? (Up to 300 words)
  • One Letter of Recommendation

You should select an individual who can provide an informed view of your academic or professional ability and suitability for your chosen programme of study. The letter of recommendation must be in English or Icelandic and needs to be sent directly from the recommender to the office of Computer Science at the email address: scs_office@ru.is.

Certified copies of diplomas and transcripts must be sent to the reception at Menntavegi 1, 101 Reykjavik. Supporting documents must be received before the application deadline.

Applicants are invited for an interview only if they have submitted all the necessary supporting documents in time.
