Training programnes for Academic and Administrative Staff

RU Continuous Professional Education in Iceland is a centre for international collaboration. We welcome participants from around the world. We serve the business community with a diverse range of courses, seminars, workshops, and conferences featuring cutting-edge knowledge from Iceland and abroad. An emphasis is placed on effective and efficient teaching methods. We offer a variety of courses within the fields of technology, business and law. In the field of education we train academic as well as administrative staff.

RU Continuous Professional Education also offers training for civil servants and NGO´s and offers tailor made training programs upon request through RU Executive Education.

We are pleased to announce a new training program that has been customised to fit the beneficiary states benefitting from the EEA grants Scholarship funds. The program is built on the successful cooperation with universities across the beneficiary states started under the 2004-2009 EEA Grants. Over 100 participants have attended our training.

The training program for academic and administrative staff is comprised of the following courses:

1. English for University Lecturers.
2. English for Administrative Staff.
3. Training on running the International Office.
4. Academic and Teaching Methods and Modernisation of the Curriculum (University Didactics).
5. The Methodology of Writing Scientific Papers.

The duration of each course is approximately 5 working days, including the optional excursion trips of Iceand´s culture and nature. It includes about 20 hours of teaching.

All courses will be taught in English, with simultaneous interpretation if needed. We offer competitive prices depending on the size of the group.
