PhD Program in Sustainable Energy at Reykjavik University

A Journey from Masters to PhD
Many of our PhD aspirants begin their academic voyage in the realm of sustainable energy by first enrolling in the Masters program at the Iceland School of Energy (ISE) or Department of Engineering. These programs equips students with a robust foundation, enabling them to collaborate closely with our faculty and industry partners. Those who typically continue on after finishing their Masters continue working on the subject of their thesis project or in a similar field. This collaboration is fostered through comprehensive courses, in-depth thesis projects, and invaluable networking opportunities.

It is important to note that the Iceland School of Energy does not directly administer PhD programs in sustainable energy. Instead, all PhD programs in this field are administered through the Department of Engineering.

We encourage prospective PhD students to check the 50skills page (https://jobs.50skills.com/ru/en) on the Reykjavik University website for updates on open PhD positions. For further information, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team at ise@ru.is or visit the Department of Engineering PhD Studies page on the Reykjavik University website for more information.
