Before You Apply

• Check Eligibility: Make sure you meet the general university and individual programme requirements. Detailed requirements can be found here.

Application Process

• Online Application: Complete and submit the online application form by the deadline. Deadlines can be found here. The application can be found here. 
• Supporting Documents: Upload the necessary documents as outlined in the program requirements. Remember, original documents are required for an unconditional offer. Incomplete applications will not be considered. If you need assistance, please contact ise@ru.is. 

• Required Documents:

  • Official university transcript/s
  • English language test score (for non-native speakers)
  • CV/résumé
  • Scanned passport
  • Two professional or academic references (sent directly to ise@ru.is)

After Application Submission

• Interviews: Some applicants may be invited for an interview via Teams.
• Offer & Acceptance: If your application is successful, you will receive an offer letter, fee invoice, and visa information. Accept the offer by paying the registration fee before the deadline. For fee details and payment methods, click here.

Preparing for Your Studies

• Pre-Arrival Information: We will send you details about accommodations and living in Reykjavik throughout the period following your acceptance.
• International Office: We will put you in contact with the international office which will be available to assist you throughout your transition along with members of our team in ISE. 
• RU Intranet Access: Receive your login details two weeks before the term begins for access to timetables, teaching materials, and course information.
