Students seeking electives outside of the School of Computer Science must:

1. Fulfill all course prerequisites as stated in the course catalogue
2. Make sure that the course curriculum does not overlap with the course curriculum of previously taken courses
3. Obtain the permission of the Curriculum Council (Námsmatsnefnd) to elect courses outside The School of Computer Science related to computer science, information technology or mathematics.

Students are not given credits for the following courses: V-104-STÆR Applied Mathematics, V-206-UPTL Information technology and V-303-TOL1Statistics 1 in the School of Business and RI STA 1003 Digital Technology in the School of Science and Engineering due to overlap with core curriculum.
