Students need to complete 180 ECTS in order to graduate with a B.Sc. degree in computer science, 144 credits of which have to be selected from within the School of Computer Science (SCS), including all core courses. A student can apply to pursue electives, partly or wholly, outside the SCS. Normally, a permission is granted for doing so, as long as the specified electives are university-level courses, satisfy the requirements of the particular school/department, and the curriculum does not overlap with other credits taken towards the degree. The final project is carried out in the SCS.
The structure of the fall and the spring semester is the following. The semester starts with a 12-week period, in which students pursue four 3-week regular courses. Then, a 2-week exam period follows, and the semester concludes with a 3-week course, either a project course or a specialized course.
