Tuition
 

The School of Computer Science charges students tuition for each semester. The fees are paid in advance of each semester (in December for the spring semester and August for the fall semester). However it is possible to pay by installments providing certain conditions are met. Students are also expected to work on their research over the summer months, although no tuition will be charged for the summer.

Please note that the University tuition does not cover the cost of accommodation, living expenses, equipment or books. 

Tuition for home and EEA/EU students (2011-2012)*:

1-8   ECTS  (50%)   174,000.00 ISK, or approx. 1150 EUR (according to exchange rates Dec. 1st 2010)

9-16 ECTS  (75%)  261,000.00 ISK, or approx. 1700 EUR (according to exchange rates Dec. 1st 2010)

17+ ECTS (100%)  348,000.00 ISK, or approx. 2300 EUR (according to exchange rates Dec. 1st 2010)

*British students pay tuition as non EEA/EU students but exemptions may be made from this rule

Non home and non EEA/EU students (2010-2011):

Fulltime studies:  748,000.00 ISK per semester, or approx. 4900 EUR (according to exchange rates Dec. 1st 2010)
